This is a new feature I am testing out. It feels like to me that this area of forums works like Facebook would. ALL of our Homeschool Collective Community Members across every group can see this.
Maybe this could be a place each co op can spotlight their group to the Community as a whole. Let me know what your thoughts are on this!
Is anyone attending Hub4homeschool on Tuesdays for the Fall 22’? Hoping to find someone that lives near by so we can carpool. Thank you.
Not homeschool related.. I have 3 cans of formula we were gifted and don't need. As well as other baby items.. a seeing, playmat, bassinet/cosleeper, clothes, wedge pillow, donut pillow, Moby wrap and MORE! Is anyone in need of them?
Hi All! Teacher and homeschool mom looking at teaching options in SoCal. Any villages down there?
Yes I think this is a great idea! Love @rachael.kone ideas as well. We can dig deeper on that one and figure out a way to organize that appropriately! Yes [@Katrina Phruksukarn notification burn out is a real thing! Think we need to create an easy infographic leads can share to their community so they know how to turn off what they don’t want to see.
Yes, especially since there is a search function! I love Rachael’s ideas too.
I like the idea of a discussion forum too; however, I know some people prefer not to receive SO many notifications on topics/discussions that don’t interest them. This often prompts them to turn off all notifications and then miss out on relevant ones when new events are posted or when event details are updated. I played around in the settings and found that members can turn off forum notifications, but leave on event notifications. I would suggest that leads ensure people know how to do this so they don’t get notification burn out.
I love it! I think this is also where you would have the general discussion page as well.
Love that idea. I thought this would be a great place for discussions of homeschooling styles? Like one forum for Waldorf, another for unschooling questions? Thought it'd be a great place for other discussions, like reviews of nature classes vs microschools in the area if people are looking? Or if you're open to branching out a bit.. a place for discussions/referrals for medical help or childcare. What do you think?
